Dan Kelly founded Modernise after 27 years at Microsoft in Dublin. He started as a software engineer in the early days of Office and Clippy, and rose to a director-level product leader running global teams of engineers and product managers.
Throughout his career, he bridged business and technology, and turned new capabilities into real outcomes. He led complex, multi-year programmes that spanned divisions, functions and continents, delivering impact in highly demanding environments.
For his last decade there, he brought AI into the heart of large-scale business processes. His teams moved the systems that ship more than 100 Microsoft products in over 80 languages to an AI-first approach, saving tens of millions a year.
Just as important is how he works. Dan believes change only lasts when people come with it. He listens first, brings teams along, and aims to leave every business, team and individual in a better place than he found them.
He brings a rare mix of business, technology, change management and applied AI.
